Some of you may remember my glowing review of the original Picross for the DS. When I first started playing Picross 3D, the simplicity of the puzzles had me concerned about whether or not this new game was worthy of the Picross name or if the 3D feature was just some gimick. After playing the game for several days I am pleased to say that Picross 3D is everything I could hope for. Interestingly enough, the gameplay is somewhat different from Picross, so if you've never played the original, don't worry. Imagine something like a 3D Minesweeper. Picross 3D is available for less than $20 new - if you like puzzle games, you definitely should give this a try.
